Tares

How and why is it, that there are false ones masquerading among the people of YHVH? Where do they come from and what is their intent and purpose? What do they look like? How do they act? How can they be in the midst of those who are called and appointed, but yet go unnoticed?

Matthew 13:24-25
24 Another parable He put before them, saying, “The reign of the heavens has become like a man who sowed good seed in his field, 25 but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed darnel among the wheat and went away.

What is darnel (tares)? It is a false grain, that does NOT bear good fruit. It masquerades as something good, but in fact the seeds of some tares are poisonous!

darnel [
ˈdɑːnəl]
n (Life Sciences & Allied Applications / Plants) any of several grasses of the genus Lolium, esp L. temulentum, that grow as weeds in grain fields in Europe and Asia [probably related to French (Walloon dialect) darnelle, of obscure origin]

Noun 1. darnel - weedy annual grass often occurs in grainfields and other cultivated land; seeds sometimes considered poisonous

Why would an enemy sow tares among the wheat field? To deceive…to tear down and to destroy the good crop that was planted. To steal and use up the soil and nutrients from the good seed, so that it will not develop, grow and mature to it's full potential. So that the tares can hide among the wheat and grow up right next to it, to stay close to it and influence it…to appear to be just like it in every respect.

Matthew 13:26-27
26 “And when the blade sprouted and bore fruit, then the darnel also appeared. 27 “And the servants of the master of the house came and said to him, ‘Master, did you not sow good seed in your field? From where then does it have the darnel?’

The Master and His servants were not deceived. They saw the tares and recognized it for what it was. The servants were confused and did not understand how the tares could have appeared in a field that was sown with so much care. How could the tares have appeared in the midst of the wheat and become mixed into the field?

Matthew 13:28
28 “And he said to them, ‘A man, an enemy did this.’ And the servants said to him, ‘Do you wish then, that we go and gather them up?’

The servants wanted to remove the tares, but the Master told them no. The Master understood the implications of removing the tares. If they tried to remove the tares when all of the field was young and tender, the wheat would be destroyed and uprooted too. When the wheat and tares are young and tender, they appear to be the same. It is after they begin to sprout and bring forth fruit, that they truth becomes apparent. The tares will NEVER bring forth good fruit, yet they are still standing beside the wheat.

Matthew 13:29
29 “But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the darnel you also uproot the wheat with them.

It is also a test for the wheat to stay pure and to fulfill it's intent, by growing to maturity and bringing forth good fruit to harvest. The tares receive the same care, the same water, the same nutrients as the wheat, but they bear only bad fruit and some of that poisonous! The tares take away resources from the wheat.

Matthew 13:30
30 ‘Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I shall say to the reapers, “First gather the darnel and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my granary.” ’ ”

The wheat will be separated out from the tares at the time of the harvest. The wheat will be gathered and saved, while the tares will be gathered and burned. The tares remain until the harvest. They are still trying to look and act like wheat, until the very end...

Will you be ready for harvest?

Immersion

Many of us have held a very mistaken view of 'baptism' (immersion, mikveh) and many still do. For many people, it is looked upon as some sort of rite of passage, or some sign or seal, that we now belong to our Father just through that act. Many people still believe that all one has to do is pray the 'sinner's prayer', be baptized and we are 'saved'. That is a very simplistic view, of something that is extremely important! Did YHVH just require Yisrael to say a prayer, be immersed and have somebody say some words over them, in order to be His people?

The steps we are to take are important and there are still many people who do NOT understand this! What is the first thing that is required of us? We MUST teshuvah (repent, turn, return), we must return to YHVH and shema (hear & obey) His Word, His Torah. We stop following and going our own way. That is what He required of Yisrael to be His people…that requirement has NOT changed! You cannot have Torah written on your heart and in your mind by being immersed alone!

What is immersion for? Immersion is for purification. It is an outward sign of the intent and desire of our heart. We are cleansing and washing away the things that have muddied us up and caused us to be defiled and unclean before Abba. YHVH commanded purification for Yisrael in Torah. Immersion for purification did NOT start with the B'rit Chadashah (Renewed Covenant Scriptures)! Seven days of purification were required when someone became unclean, or defiled in Yisrael. It is a continuation of Torah! How many get that? Abba's Word has been twisted and manipulated until it is not even recognizable anymore in places and by people who claim to speak His truth!

After teshuvah and immersion, then we receive Ruach HaKodesh, the (Holy, Set-Apart) Spirit of YHVH. We have to be a clean vessel, to receive Abba's Spirit. He CANNOT dwell in uncleanness. There has to be a desire and a conviction within us to really turn from the way that we are going and give ourselves over entirely to YHVH. We MUST be committed to living by His Word and to study and learn. We cannot be His, if we do not understand what it is that He requires of us. We cannot just go back to the same lifestyle and path that we were following before! What good does it do to be immersed, if we are not intent, comitted and sincere in changing the way we were living?

Being 'baptized' in the way that people have been taught, does NOT cause some instant transformation to come over us and cause us to be 'saved'. It does NOT give us an instant ticket to the Kingdom of Elohim. It does NOT mark us, or seal us as belonging to YHVH. People have placed a false trust and faith in baptism. We NEED to purge out the false doctrines and practices that we have been taught and that we have accepted. We MUST do things the way YHVH has shown us, or it means NOTHING at all. To be His people, we MUST do it His way. This is what Shimon Kepha (Simon Peter) told those gathered before him on that day of Shavuot (Pentecost, Feast of Weeks).

Acts 2:38-39
38 And Kĕpha said to them, “Repent, and let each one of you be immersed in the Name of
יהושע Messiah for the forgiveness of sins. And you shall receive the gift of the Set-apart Spirit. 39 “For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are far off, as many as יהוה our Elohim shall call.”

The Physical World

I am absolutely amazed at the physical world that Abba set up for us…so many things that He put into place, to teach us how to be spiritual beings. All of the physical things point us in a direction...IF we are able to look deeper and see the meaning. It is not hard to apply the physical things to the spiritual. There are connections…when you know how to do the physical, you just look for the same thing on the spiritual side and put it into practice. It IS the Ruach that guides us and leads us to see these connections.

Abba knew that we were VERY physical beings…He created us that way and it is for a reason. We forget that He planned everything out ahead of time. He did NOT just start creating and putting things into place without a purpose. We are very attached to our environment and the things that are around us. We are bound by physical laws, which govern the way everything functions in our world. We have to look WAY beyond the physical things that are around us…we learn from them and then look for a spiritual type to relate it to.

In the Torah of clean and unclean things for food, there are huge lessons. Did you think it was just about food? That is the way the world looks at it, because they lust after all of those things YHVH told us to stay away from. YHVH tells us something very personal about Himself as He gives us instruction on what foods we can eat and what we are to stay away from. He also tells us how we can be like Him!

Leviticus 11:44-45
44 ‘For I am
יהוה your Elohim, and you shall set yourselves apart. And you shall be set-apart, for I am set-apart. And do not defile yourselves with any creeping creature that creeps on the earth. 45 ‘For I am יהוה who is bringing you up out of the land of Mitsrayim, to be your Elohim. And you shall be set-apart, for I am set-apart.

Do you want to be kadosh (set-apart) as YHVH is kadosh? Do you want to be like your Father? I DO! Remember when you were a child and you wanted to imitate what your parents did? Abba is telling us to imitate Him…we are to be kadosh as He IS kadosh. I love that!! By putting into practice and observing the Torah of clean and unclean things we are being set-apart. We learn to be set-apart from everyone else…that has a spiritual application! We give up something and we do not act like and seek after things that other people do. When we restrict our diet, we are learning to have control over ourselves and to make the right choices…we are learning to follow Abba and trust in Him no matter what anyone else tells us. If Abba says do NOT do it…we do NOT do it!

We learn to be set-apart from this world. YHVH says that if we even touch those things that it defiles us. We are learning to be undefiled and acceptable to Him…that has a spiritual application. We learn to set ourselves apart from ANYTHING that causes us to be defiled and unclean before YHVH. As you read and study Torah, think about the spiritual application of the physical requirements. Yeshua spoke about this and tried to explain it to those whom He taught. The physical ALWAYS guides us to a spiritual application…all we have to do is make the connection. Abba has left signs and waypoints to the Kingdom…we just need to recognize and follow them.

Leviticus 11:46-47
46 ‘This is the Torah of the beasts and the birds and every living creature that moves in the waters, and of every creature that creeps on the earth, 47 to make a distinction between the unclean and the clean, and between the living creature that is eaten and the living creature that is not eaten.’ ”

Yeshua's Reflection

We have been given an incredible example, to show us our Father in a way that we can relate to as physical beings. YHVH is so much bigger, incredible and awesome than we picture Him and imagine Him to be. We try to relate Him to our physical world, but fail to realize that He exists outside the boundaries that we live under. He sent His Son to us, in a physical form, to give us a way to relate to Him in a physical sense. YHVH says that He is THE ONLY Moshia (Savior).

Isaiah 43:11-13
11 “I, I am
יהוה, and besides Me there is no savior. 12 “I, I have declared and saved, and made known, and there was no foreign mighty one among you. And you are My witnesses,” declares יהוה, “that I am Ěl. 13 “Even from the day I am He, and no one delivers out of My hand. I work, and who turns it back?”

Yeshua reflected YHVH to us. Through Him, we get a glimpse and a picture of the nature of Elohim. We struggle and wrestle with trying to understand the relationship that exists between Yeshua and YHVH, because we think ONLY in physical terms. Why do we limit YHVH? Why do we set boundaries in which He has to operate? On one hand people believe and have faith that YHVH is capable of doing incredible and amazing things, things far beyond our understanding but on the other hand they fail to accept and see the connection that exists between YHVH and Yeshua. Yeshua tells us in plain terms what that relationship is. Is YHVH limited by our understanding of relationships?

John 14:7
7 “If you had known Me, you would have known My Father too. From now on you know Him, and have seen.”

How do we reconcile and make sense of what Yeshua said here? How could He make such a statement? By knowing Yeshua they knew the Father…by seeing Yeshua, they saw the Father. Think about it! This is amazing what He says here! Where else in all of scripture does anyone say, or make a claim like this? In one statement He tells us who He is. Yeshua was accused of blasphemy for making such claims and just like the Pharisees of His day, there are Pharisees in our day who still consider it blasphemy and idolatry for Yeshua to have said those things and for people to believe what He said. Yeshua NEVER claimed to be a separate Elohim apart from YHVH!

Acts 5:30-32
30 “The Elohim of our fathers raised up
יהושע whom you laid hands on, hanging Him on a timber. 31 “Him, a Prince and a Savior, Elohim has exalted to His right hand, to give repentance to Yisra’ĕl and forgiveness of sins. 32 “And we are His witnesses to these matters, and so also is the Set-apart Spirit whom Elohim has given to those who obey Him.”

Here is the key to the whole issue…it is the Ruach HaKodesh that reveals these things to YHVH's people. Yeshua does NOT act separately and apart from YHVH…Yeshua is also Moshia. It IS critical to understand the nature and relationship that exists between YHVH and Yeshua. Those who do not…will fall victim to a lie.

Do Not Fail To Listen

Despite repeated warnings and messages straight from Abba through His prophets, Yisrael failed to listen. They did not heed the word that was brought to them and they did not Shema (hear and obey). That is also the mindset of the people in this world. The people of this world are so far removed from YHVH, that they cannot hear His voice. He can scream in their ear and they still cannot hear. There are signs and warnings all around us. YHVH is sending out a message and the warning is going out…but people just will NOT hear! Yeshua gives a very good description, of the condition the world would be in leading up to His return.

Matthew 24:38-41
38 “For as they were in the days before the flood, eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noa
entered into the ark, 39 and they did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also shall the coming of the Son of Aam be. 40 “Then two shall be in the field, the one is taken and the one is left. 41 “Two shall be grinding at the mill, one is taken and one is left.

The world is not paying attention and they do not even care. They do not know YHVH, they do not think about YHVH and they are too busy with their own lives to even know YHVH. Some people who claim to belong to YHVH do not know Him either. People are carrying on with their lives and ignoring the obvious signs all around them. The adversary has everyone chasing their tails and he keeps them busy, so that they do not wake up and realize the danger that is all around them. Abba ALWAYS warns…He always warns, but we are too busy to see, we are too wrapped up in what we are doing to hear…we do not have time to seek Him and pay attention. Everyone is going a hundred miles an hour…nowhere.

My heart grieves for what is coming and the suffering that is going to take place. Honestly…it is not going to be a pleasant time on this world…people have no idea what is coming upon them. How could we allow ourselves to become so blind and so self-absorbed. People are numb…uncaring and unfeeling…except when it comes to themselves. There are dark clouds on the horizon…very dark clouds.

I know…people have been saying things like this for years and we are still here right? Things will just keep going along like they always have and we can just go about our business and not worry about it. Many people think they are going to be long gone before anything happens here on this world. They are going to be secretly taken away and it is everyone else who will suffer…not them. Many people have bought into the false teaching of a rapture, that they are going to be caught up and removed from and trouble in this world, based on a misrepresentation of Yeshua's words.

Matthew 24:40-41
40 “Then two shall be in the field, the one is taken and the one is left. 41 “Two shall be grinding at the mill, one is taken and one is left.

The question is…when does this apply? There is going to be a harvest…it is going to be a harvest of firstfruits. If none of the people of YHVH were going to enter the time of trouble coming on this world, then why did Yeshua say, that time would be shortened for the elect's sake (Mt 24:22)? Who are the elect? The people of YHVH!

Matthew 24:42-44
42 “Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Master is coming. 43 “And know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. 44 “Because of this, be ready too, for the Son of A
am is coming at an hour when you do not expect Him.

We all have a choice and we can all do as we please. I am going to believe Yeshua and pay attention to the warning He gave. I am going to believe that YHVH warned us through Yeshua and that we should take that warning very, very seriously, because we are most CERTAINLY at the point in time that He warned us about. What about you? Are you going to listen, are you going to hear and obey, or are you convinced and do you believe that everything is just fine? So did a lot of others throughout history...we have been warned...
